Colonel is the youngest member of our pack. He was born 5/6/99 at Shenandoah Kennels and his sire is Shenandoah's The Taz of Zion (OFA Excellent) and his dam is Shenandoah Mountain Mya of JNK (OFA Good). He is a plush coated grey sable of 4th generation MAW lines. Taz and Mya have been bred 3 times and a number of dogs have been successful in the show ring including Multi BIS winners Tatanka and Skye. We are hoping Colonel will carry on the tradition. He has begun his show career and after only 4 show weekends is a Breed Club and FORB Champion, and earned 4 CAC-US ARBA certificates at the prestigious Cherry Blossom Show in April. At the same show, he was Winner's Dog four shows (all five point majors) and Best of Winners three of the four shows. The next weekend he earned his CGC (Canine Good Citizen title) with flying colors. He is a 31 inch tall dog and weighed 125# at 2 years of age. He has strong ears, beautiful side gait, lots of bone, strong and smooth topline, good length of body, beautiful saber tail with correct set and carriage, and received a preliminary hip rating of OFA Good at 12 months of age. His call name of "Colonel" came from his registered name of Millbrook's Grey Ghost of Shenandoah. Colonel Moseby, of "Moseby's Raiders", was known as the Grey Ghost of the Shenandoah Valley during the Civil War.
