Freddie is a black and cream plush coated Shiloh Shepherd who carries the MAW line and is one of the top winning dogs in the history of the breed. His sire is NSabCH King Zeus-Olympus of Zion and his dam is Liberty Icis of Zion. From January through September of 1998 Freddie accomplished the following: Grand Victor for both the SSDCA and ISSDC with the highest number of GV points ever, 378, earned in just 11 show weekends; 11 Bests in Show; 5 Bests in Specialty Show including the National Specialty judged by renowned judge Jean Fournier; 61 Bests of Breed; 30 Group 1's; 28 Group placements. He also completed his ARBA, Breed Club, FORB, and Canadian Championships. He was the 1998 American Rare Breed Association (ARBA) #1 Herding Dog and the 1998 ARBA #2 dog for All Breeds, the highest finish ever for a Shiloh Shepherd. He was the 1998 Federation of Rare Breeds (FORB) #1 Herding Dog and 1998 FORB #1 dog for All Breeds and the 1998 Canadian Rarities #4 dog All Breeds after one weekend of showing with their organization. Although we retired him at the end of September, 1998, he accumulated enough points during August and September, prior to retirement, to once again be the SSDCA Grand Victor for 1999! Throughout his show experience Freddie remained a trooper, ever cheerful, and ready to "fly" at the first sound of applause. He has been a gentleman and an ambassador for the Shiloh Shepherd breed whether in airports, hotels, parks; on shuttle busses, escalators, elevators, or at the shows. We have had judges thank us for the opportunity to judge him and request photos of him even if that judge wasn't included. Best of all, he is ever our devoted companion and good friend. Freddie is now enjoying retirement on the farm, while relishing every trip as our chosen companion, and spending days with us at the office greeting customers. His PennHIP evaluation was done at almost five years of age and we are pleased to report his scores of .32 and .38 with no signs of Degenerative Joint Disease (DJD).
